Frank Ritson and Frank Cimino

Our Story

The family-owned and operated company was founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1945, by Frank Cimino, which started as a wooden box manufacturer out of a garage supplying local companies boxes for welding rods. Some of these companies included Ferry Cap & Set Screw and Atlas Foundry Co.

Later, Cimino Box would begin to incorporate wooden boxes for beer breweries in the area. As demand grew and Cimino Box's reputation began to spread, the company began to add pallets to their product list in the mid 60's.

In 1978, Frank Cimino's grandson, Frank Ritson, would join the family business at the young age of 13 years old by sweeping floors and doing odd jobs around the shop. Ritson's enthusiasm to learn the pallet industry and dedication would later lead him to becoming the President of Cimino Box in 1988.

Today, as one of the largest pallet recyclers and manufactures in Northeast Ohio, Cimino Box continues to provide quality and service since 1945!
